 CAIR System
Finally a panel system that understands the mechanics of the equine back and the impact saddles have on horse and rider performance. The revolutionary CAIR Panel System replaces the traditional fillings in your saddle panel with air. There are two independently sealed Air Panels within each Saddle Panel. The concept of air, as the ultimate in cushioning for the horse is simple. Air being a fluid medium will constantly adapt to the horse’s working muscles. This means that your weight will be distributed evenly across the entire length of the panel, virtually eliminating pressure points. This extraordinary comfort results in freer movement, better carriage and a happier horse. For such a simple concept the dramatic difference the CAIR Panel System makes to a horse’s comfort and performance is profound. The CAIR Panel System is patented worldwide and exclusive to Bates and Wintec Saddles.

Designed to improve the horse's self carriage, steady lightness of contact and willing submission. The whole crown pressure area is cushioned whilst the solid part of the bridle, which is the broad contact with the cushion, is now a combined noseband hanger and throat lash. The headpiece supporting the cheeks lays on top thus minimising the influence of the bit contact pressure over the pole and dispersing this pressure over the maximum possible area. Available with 5/8" reins in 1/2 nubuck or 1/2 rubber and a choice of nosebands.

KK Conrad Ultra Bits take advantage of the exceptional sensitivity of the tongue.
Sprenger in collaboration with the University of Hannover researched and analysed measurements of over 70 horses heads.
Their results ;
* The interior volume of the mouth was less than had been previously thought.
* The palate was both smaller and very often flatter than previously imagined.
* The space available for a bit is therefore very limited.
Sprenger used this information to develop the ULTRA Range with the aim to improve the bits without increasing severity.
Key features ;
* As the palate is narrower than originally assumed the lozenge in the centre was shortened ( no pressure on the palate ).
* The angle of the link was twisted by 45 degrees. This ensures that when the reins are applied the rounded link rests fully on the tongue without squeezing it.
* The tongue's sense of touch is fully utilised and clear instructions are given through the reins.
